Leveling Kits

When choosing a leveling kit, there are so many choices.  Which kit is best for you to level your truck or SUV?  Truck leveling kits are available in many styles.  From upper control arms, coil spacers and strut spacers to torsion keys. 

For newer Ford F150 ½ ton trucks, most are going to have IFS suspension and are going to utilize a strut spacer, where a ¾ ton and 1 ton ford leveling kit will consist of a coil spacer on the F250 and F350 trucks.  In some cases longer shocks may be added to retain down travel in the front suspension. Adding an upper control arm and a longer strut to your Ford suspension can help increase wheel travel so you don’t lose ride quality.

1999-2006 Chevy Silverado 1500 Leveling kits will consist of torsion keys and either shock extenders or longer shock options.  Newer 2007-2013 Chevrolet ½ ton trucks will use a strut spacer or a leveling strut to level out the front of the vehicle.  When using a leveling kit for Chevy trucks, again you can add an upper control arm to increase wheel travel and retain a great ride.  Chevrolet 2500HD and 3500HD trucks have torsion bar (IFS) independent front suspension.  These trucks will use a torsion key to get them level with either shock extensions or longer shocks.  Upper control arm leveling kits for Chevy HD trucks also available for the best in Leveling kit ride quality on your Chevy.

Coil spacer leveling kits for Dodge trucks are most common truck parts in todays market for the straight axle suspension trucks.  By spacing the coil on a straight axle equipped vehicle, you are able to raise the front end of the vehicle to level, without affecting the ride quality.  In some cases longer shocks are used on Dodge leveling kits to create added down travel to ensure a quality ride.

Toyota Tacoma, Tundra and Sequoia leveling suspension will typically consist of a strut spacer or longer struts with an upper control arm kit.  Lots of mid travel leveling options are also available from some of the long travel suspension companies.  These leveling kits for Toyota trucks will usually have an upper control arm with a uni-ball race style joint in the control arm.

Nissan Titan and Armada Leveling Kits again will consist of a strut spacer or longer struts and an upper a-arm kit.
